Meaning:

A division within a company that focuses on a specific area

    The Finance department handles all the budgeting and expenses.

Supervisor

Meaning:

A person who oversees and directs the work of others

    My supervisor gives me weekly feedback on my performance.

Cross-functional

Meaning:

Involving multiple departments or teams

    We’re working on a cross-functional project with marketing and sales.

Hierarchy

Meaning:

A system where people or groups are ranked according to status or authority

    The company hierarchy starts from interns up to the CEO.
