Most Workers Prefer Flexible Hours Over Remote Work

A new survey shows that many workers prefer flexible working hours over the option to work from home.

The survey was conducted by LinkedIn, the popular job-related social media platform. It asked more than 30,000 workers around the world about their work preferences.

The Results

According to the results, twice as many people said they want to choose when they work rather than where they work. For example, many workers said they enjoy remote work, but flexibility in working hours is even more important.

Why? Because flexible hours help people manage their time, take care of family responsibilities, and feel less stress.

What Employers Are Doing

Some companies are starting to offer more "flex time". This means workers can choose their own start and end times, as long as the work gets done. Experts say that this kind of flexibility helps workers feel more motivated and productive.

But not all companies support it yet. Some employers still prefer fixed schedules or want employees to be in the office.

Expert Opinion

A LinkedIn expert said,

“Flexible work doesn’t just mean working from home. It also means giving people control over their schedules, which can improve their well-being and job satisfaction.”
